Niuscha Bassiri has been elected as the Vice President on the Presiding Committee of the Board of Directors of DIS, the German arbitration institution.

Ms. Bassiri was elected along with Dr. Thomas Pfeiffer (President) and Dr. Rouven F. Bodenheimer (Vice President) by thirteen members of the DIS' Board of Directors. They will serve a term of four years, until 2029. In its statement upon appointment, the Presiding Committee indicated its intention to promote Germany as an international legal hub for arbitration and called for completion of reforms to German arbitration law which were initiated in 2024.
