10 September 2024

Niuscha Bassiri and Emily's Hay chapter on "Consumer protection in international arbitration and EU law" has been published in the second edition of "International Arbitration and EU Law" (ed. N. Lavranos and S. Castagna), Edward Elgar (2024).

The second edition examines new developments at the intersection of EU law and international arbitration based on the experience of leading practitioners in both commercial and investment treaty arbitration law, by illustrating the depth and breadth of EU law’s impact on party autonomy and on the margin of appreciation available to arbitral tribunals. The book tracks the influence of EU law and the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the EU (CJEU) in international arbitration.

A book launch event is happening in London on 10 September 2024.
