Professor Dr. Maxi Scherer is giving the 2025 The Hague Academy of International Law - Académie de droit international de La Haye Lecture on "Artificial Intelligence in Private International Relationships".
Maxi's lectures address different approaches to the regulation of artificial intelligence, including the implications of the EU AI Act and the new General-Purpose AI Code of Practice presented by experts to the European Commission in July 2025. With students from across the globe sharing their perspectives Maxi is also diving into the practical questions of AI use in arbitration proceedings and the implications for disclosure, confidentiality and bias, as well as the role of AI in decision-making.
