On 11 July 2025, Emily Hay spoke at the The Society Of International Economic Law's Ninth Biennial Global Conference in Taipei, Taiwan on "Investment and Sustainability". Emily and her co-panellists explored current trends and developments, from treaty design to mandatory ESG contractual clauses, carbon markets, critical minerals and commercial disputes.

Emily also moderated a panel on 9 July 2025 on "ISDS in the Eye of the Storm- Legacy and Contemporary Issues Arising", bringing together contributions from across the globe on covering the historical dynamics, current issues and future trends in ISDS.
